Our Mission: BTC & NSI
The Brain Tumor Center (BTC) and the Neuroscience Institute (NSI) provide comprehensive care for patients with brain, pituitary and skull base disorders, including both benign and malignant brain tumors, skull base tumors, pituitary adenomas as well as related problems such as cranial nerve disorders (e.g., trigeminal neuralgia and hemifacial spasm), cerebrovascular disorders, pituitary hormonal failure (hypopituitarism) and cerebrospinal fluid leaks (CSF leaks).
Our specialists in Neurosurgery, Endocrinology, Oncology, Radiation-Oncology, Head & Neck Surgery and Neuro-Ophthalmology offer a multidisciplinary approach to these disorders. With expertise in minimally invasive keyhole and endonasal transsphenoidal surgery, stereotactic radiation treatment, cutting-edge cancer treatments and hormone replacement therapy, we provide individualized care for these complex problems. We also provide minimally invasive treatment for trigeminal neuralgia and hemifacial spasm with microvascular decompression as well as non-surgical treatments.
Through collaboration with the John Wayne Cancer Institute and Saint John’s Health Center, the BTC and NSI also conduct translational research, clinical trials, continuing medical education, neurosurgical fellowship training and provides patient education and support.
